Happy Thanksgiving you guys!

We are excited to bring you some updates to kick off the holidays.

There are a few issues that we still need to work out.

That’s the name of the game though!

Zombies and AI Mechanics

-Added a 30-second cooldown for zombie spawn points.

-Improved zombie removal from spawn manager post-player kills. (Part of the cause for no zombies on servers)

-Effect for zombies spawning added.

-Enhanced AI spawning to prevent mid-air falls.

-Temporary fix to reduce zombies falling through the map.

User Interface and Experience

-Updated pause menu with new main level map.

-Loading indicator shows during save progress, with a notification upon completion and save status.

-Modified server browser menu to combine dedicated and listen server listings.

-Added road names to map and level.

Gameplay and Mechanics

-Ladders will lead to far fewer deaths!

-Fixed sprint function bug when key binding is changed

-Fixed a bug where the time change wasn’t activating on clients, affecting automatic lights and foliage emissive changes between day and night

-Resolved issue with save list not updating immediately after creating a new save

-Attempted to fix player stash widget initialization issue, pending further testing

-Resolved saving issues with building parts on dedicated servers

-Adjusted first-person hand animations for running, walking, and breathing to match footsteps better

-Fixed bug where some guns had higher movement speeds than the default

-Removed ‘sonic mode’ feature

-Container loot NERFED TO THE GROUND!!!

-Item weight rebalance (nerfed to the ground)

-More Stone nodes

-Many collisions were fixed

-Adjusted weight of some items

-General consumable, resource, weapon loot nerfs

-Crafting tweaks and increases the rarity of keycards

-Taint transformer pickup fixed

Market and Resources

-Added stone to market

-Mineable resources used to make C4 are no longer in the market

Pointer: Dedicated servers also seem to go offline when certain players disconnect. We will be sure to have them running as much as possible, however, if there are too many clients causing this issue on disconnect then we will most likely leave them down until we have a solution.

Thank you to everyone who helped out with bug reports.

Ever since I built my first PC to play custom zombie maps on 'Call of Duty: World at War,' I knew PC gaming would be a huge part of my life. My passion for zombies didn't just stop there—I grew up playing iconic games on my PlayStation 2 and 3, like 'Resident Evil 5,' 'Dead Rising,' 'The Walking Dead,' 'Fallout,' 'Bioshock,' and the 'Sly' series. However, once I switched to PC, there was no looking back; my PlayStations found their way into storage, and my heart stayed with PC gaming.

My love for survival games deepened with 'Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead’s DayZ' mod, where fate had me meet Dev Ear and Dev SuperPoggers atop the triple yellow in Cherno. A simple meetup on TeamSpeak turned into a lifelong friendship. We've traveled across states—from California to Florida—bonding over countless survival games like 'Rust Legacy' and 'WarZ.' Our adventures led us to run our own Rust servers and Minecraft communities, even tinkering with game development tools like Unity and Unreal Engine.

Our shared dreams and dedication have culminated in the creation of ZSGO, our ultimate zombie survival game. Bringing our collective expertise and creativity to the table, we're committed to crafting an unforgettable gaming experience that stands out in the survival genre.

Howdy survivors!
I'm Dev Ear and I mainly handle the gameplay loop, web development, and Discord! I have also been surviving online FPS games for 10+ years. I have probably briefly touched every survival fps game you can think of.
The current survival fps drought means that it’s time for our team to step in and create what everyone has been waiting for!
Besides game development, I like making music and every now and then touching some grass. Since release, it's been nothing but ZSGO however. Can't wait to see what the game evolves into!
See you all in ZSGO!
